Fruggy groaned softly, air whistling out of him. He sniffled and muttered more solemn warnings. “Don’t…Cal, don’t…”

“What?”

“Don’t…!”

“We’re all nuts,” Caleb said, secure in the knowledge.

Twitching violently, Fruggy’s fist brushed against Cal, reaching. He was sobbing in his sleep now, tears coursing down his face. He caught the front of Cal’s shirt and desperately pulled him closer.

Fruggy Fred whimpered, “Circe. She’ll be at the party.”
